Solana mainnetConnecting
Hobby markets,
one reading.
Whapper is a protocol on Solana. It folds scattered sales of hobby goods into a single readable signal, so you can follow a complete category instead of chasing one item at a time.
Fed by Solana RPC, DexScreener and DefiLlama. Figures refresh while this tab stays open; a dash means the feed did not answer.
01 · The blind spot
A fast chain is hard to read.
Cards, figures and sealed boxes change hands on a dozen venues, each with its own prices and its own quirks. The mood of the hobby at large lives nowhere, so most people trade on rumor and a stale screenshot.
One listing tells you about one item, never about the crowd.
Friction 01
Venues disagree; nobody keeps the tally.
Friction 02
Taking a view on a hobby usually means buying a box and waiting.
Friction 03
02 · The method
Five beats from scattered sales to one signal.
This is the design Whapper is built around. The live feeds further down already follow the same read, check, rank discipline.
- 01Gather.Sales of collectibles are pulled from the ledger.
- 02Clean.Odd prints and self-dealing are filtered out.
- 03Blend.Thousands of items fold into one weighted line.
- 04Publish.The line is shown with its method in the open.
- 05Form a view.Act on a category, not on a single listing.
One line for a category, built from open data
03 · The edge
Fewer tabs. Fewer guesses.
The scramble
- Browse six marketplaces
- Reconcile prices that clash
- Guess what is genuine
- Buy, ship, wait
- Locate a taker later
- Hope the hobby kept pace
One item. One bet at a time.

04 · The readout
Where the volume sits, right now.
Whapper settles on Solana, so the readout starts with the chain itself: value held across it and the pairs with the heaviest volume. Feeds retry on their own and fall back to dashes, never to invented numbers.
The pairs feed is not answering. Retrying with a growing pause.
05 · The wiring
Built to fail loudly, never quietly.
Every feed has a retry plan, a pause rule and a blank state. Here is the loop, and the three facts about the network it talks to.
- Request
- Check
- Draw
Nothing is guessed. A bad reply is dropped and the loop waits longer before it asks again.
- Source
- Public RPC, public indexes
- Read-only calls. No keys, no wallets, no sign-in.
- Retry
- Doubling pause, with jitter
- Waits stretch after each miss so a struggling node gets room.
- Idle rule
- Silent when hidden
- Polling stops when the tab is out of view and resumes on return.
- Blank state
- An em dash stands in for any figure that could not be confirmed.
06 · The ground rules
Public data in, plain numbers out.
- Everything shown can be checked by anyone.
- No reading? You get a dash, not a placeholder.
- Design notes live in open, written docs.
